Zeldman on Web Standards

I came across this post today, and just had to share it. I don't usually post other-people's content and try to deliver original ideas, but this was too good not to pass on.

Jeffrey Zeldman, one of the founders of The Web Standards Project, explains what are web standards and why are they important?



The history he brings up is really interesting.

This also ties in very nicely into why we need Best Practices for Web Development.
